Reviews from our guests

We briefly met at your hotel in Manuel Antonio but I didn't get a chance to get back to chat as my wife & son wanted to see the park & beach before we returned here to our "home away from home" your old home in Escazu.

I wanted to send you this email to tell you that we totally enjoyed our stay at your Costa Verde 2 and hoped that you would thank the staff there for their warm hospitality especially Cesar at the Wagon restaurant.

I also wanted to tell you that our original plan was to stay here for a week & then rent a condo in Escazu. After spending a week at the Costa Verde Inn with the excellent staff Leo, Allan, Arturo & the entire friendly staff including Adele & Rosie we decided to stay & use the inn as our base for our entire time in Costa Rica almost 2 months. Your staff is like an extended family the way they have made myself, my wife Claire & son Alexander feel welcome to their country. We have travelled all over the world & have never experienced such a warm reception.

If you ever get to Vancouver Canada please let us know as I would like to repay the kindness shown here and have you over for dinner.

Best Regards,

Alan Crooks, Claire Langley & Alexander Langley

We spent 6 wonderful days in Manuel Antonio. Our experiences with Costa Verde staff members were incredible. We arrived without our luggage(thanks to American Airlines). When we got to our room it was dark and pouring rain. We realized we had no dry clothes, no umbrellas, no money, and no food. We decided food was highest priority. I started out on a blind quest. Almost immediately a security person with an umbrella and flashlight came to my rescue. He walked me to LaCantina. They were magnificent in getting me full meals to go. They called the hotel desk and a worker picked me up, delivered me and the food (with an umbrella and flashlight)to our room! Every experience for the next 5 days was equally great. The room, A 7, had a wonderful balcony view. Monkeys went by, the sunsets were spectacular, and we have never felt more welcome anywhere.
Friday night we had the Rehearsal Dinner for 30 family and friends at LaCantina. We had the whole lower floor area, by the BBQ and with the band. The word spectacular comes to mind again. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and a great time. Breakfast every day at Anaconda was a delight! It truly was a trip of a lifetime. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

“What a great place”

My brother and I decided to go on a trip for our 40th birthday. He had been to Costa Rica before and I hadn't. The first day we checked into a hotel on the beach, it wasn't nice. We decided to get a room at Costa Verde. That was the best decision we made! The hotel room was great, it had a view of the ocean, huge beds and the staff was awesome. Zeke Navas was the guy who checked us in. I have been in the hotel business for 14 yrs, I was I had employees like him. He recomended places for us to eat and places that we should visit. He was our personal tour guide. Thanks again everyone at Costa Verde! Next time I'm bringing my whole family.

“Experience of a Lifetime With Wonderful People”

We arrived just after dark. Our luggage did not make it (thanks American Airlines). When we got to our room, A 7, we found a large space with a wonderful balcony. It was pouring rain, we had no other clothes, our umbrellas were in our luggage, we had no cash, and no food. To get food, I started to find my way through the maze of trails when a security guard with an umbrella and flashlight guided me to LaCantina. They prepared full meals to go, called the hotel desk, and another worker picked me up and took me and the food under umbrella to our room. The next morning we watched monkeys go past our balcony as we looked over the forest to the Pacific Ocean. That evening we had the most beautiful sunset possible. Every person we worked with at Costa Verde was friendly, helpful, and made us feel good. Breakfasts every day at Anaconda were good, beautiful, and fun. A tremendous highlight was the Rehearsal Dinner at LaCantina Friday night. They gave our group of 30 people the whole BBQ area, with the band!! The food was great, the service excellent, and the band outstanding. They all gave true meaning to "Pura Vida". The cost of the hotel room and the food at both restaurants were incredible bargains. The whole experience was like a dream come true.

“The view from the balcony came from a movie”

This hotel was STUNNING! Not only is it situated in a beautiful area, surrounded by trees, flowers, and tons of wildlife (we saw monkeys, sloths, tropical birds, and lizards from the room and on the premises), but the location is excellent! The hotel is a short bus ride from Quepos, a quaint little fishing town with wonderful traditional food (go to a soda for dinner if you're in the area - they're fantastic), and a short bus ride from the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park (also teeming with wildlife) where the hiking is breath-taking and the beaches leave you speechless (note, if you go to the beach, watch your bags. I got mugged by a friendly little monkey who took my beach hat and map...). The hotel itself is quite elegant, with spectacular ocean views and beautiful wooden cabins. And you have to absolutely love that there are recycling bins every ten feet. There were numerous pools and a hot tub, and four restaurants connected to the hotel (all great). There is even wifi for those of us who can't seem to leave the hustle of "real life" behind. I went to relax and celebrate, and the hotel let me do just that! There is AC in the rooms, but when there's a cool ocean breeze coming in the window, you don't need it. The rooms come with great amenities (safe, refrigerator, hot plate, dishes, airport transportation, etc.), and the sound of the rain on the roof will lull anyone to sleep. This is truly a hotel in the midst of paradise, and when I go back to Costa Rica, the Hotel Costa Verde definitely has my business!

“Perfect Start to my Costa Rican Vacation”

Just returned from Costa Rica with my wife and three teenage girls. Rented a car (not for the faint-hearted) and drove to Hotel Costa Verde from SJO. Stayed three nights in Costa Verde II facing the pool and ocean. Great location, great views, great service. Daily half mile walks down the hill to Manuel Antonio and the beach were easy but a bus is available if needed. Restaurant food was good, staff was great.

I was part of a week long family reunion that included adults, teens, and a couple of small kids. the accommodations for all were quite comfortable and spacious. we had breakfast and a few other meals at the centrally located anaconda restaurant and the food was consistently good. but it was the friendly and helpful service that really stood out. made you look forward to going back every day.
